education subgroup key priorities

The education subgroup will provide leadership and guidance regarding strategic thinking in NP/APN education for the Network, in order to ensure high standards and longer-term impact. The education subgroup has four key priorities:

Priority 1: To gather information and report on the global knowledge base that informs the preparation of NP/APNs, so as to increase awareness and understanding of the diverse range of educational levels for NP/APNs

Priority 2: To assist in the development of ICN NP/APN Network educational projects, that promote regionally-relevant education programs and curricula; develop NP/APN faculty capacity globally through coordination within the Network and between the Network and other key stakeholders

Priority 3: To support educational projects that promote the NP/APN role and enable NP/APNs to work to the highest levels in their scope of practice/level of educational preparation

Priority 4: To support the development of NP/APNs, initiatives that assist the Network in strengthening the NP/APN role, and create structures that address obstacles that challenge the educational preparation of NP/APNs; including advocating for review of policy and organisational culture
