The academy
The Academy is a new unit
of the International Council of Nurses Nurse Practitioner/Advanced
Practice Nurse (ICN NP/APN) Network. It has been developed to oversee
and support larger ICN NP/APN Network and collaborative international research. The
scope of these projects will include broad
initiatives that incorporate activities and/or research that span across
two or more subgroups of the ICN NP/APN Network.

Academy key priorities
The Academy has three key priorities:
Priority 1: To grow Network members at large into active members who contribute to Network Academy activities, projects, and research.
Priority 2: Acknowledge outstanding, long-lasting contributions of Network members to NP / APN global developments, implementation, and evaluation.
Priority 3: To develop research, projects, and initiatives that assist the Network to advocate for the APN role, while also expanding boundaries and challenging inequalities.
